Getting started with Printix

Printix is a cloud printing solution, which is used to connect your device to your printers/photocopiers, when schools have been moved to the cloud, and no longer have servers.

Getting started:

Your printers should already be setup for you to print - a quick overview of printing options is here - when you go to print, your printers should appear in the list - however on first use, you may need to ensure the printers you need are installed.

If you can't see your printers:

  1. You should ensure you have got Printix installed and are logged in
  2. If you are logged in, but printers you need are not already showing when you go to print - you can quickly add these by following the instructions below:

Installing your printers in Printix:

  1. Select the arrow next to the notification area on the task bar.
  2. Select the Printix Client  icon.If it does not show, then please log a ticket
  3. The Printix menu appears.

  • Select Printers…Select the printers you wish to install.
    Note: If there are many printers to choose from you can do a Search
  • Select Add.
  • After installation the printers are listed as either Installed, or with Error (installation failed - please screenshot and send a ticket should this occur)
  • Select Finish and attempt to print from the software you need to print from.
