  • Which devices do you need?

    1. We only need Windows devices, so laptops and computers. Not iPads
  • Shall I label my device?

    1. Yes please, if you need us to contact you when your device is finished, please also leave your mobile number.
  • Do we need to leave passwords on devices?

    1. Please do not leave passwords. We can reset them if we need access.
  • Do we need to leave laptop chargers

    1. Yes, please ensure they are labelled.
  • Can staff pick up their laptops earlier?

    1. If staff leave their devices with us with a contact number we will call them when completed. 
    2. Schools can also ask us to prioritise certain devices by providing a list of names.
  • Will you reinstall all software?

    1. Yes, as long as you have completed the Software Migration survey we have sent to you for sharing with staff. If software is not on this survey, we will deploy it as soon as possible.
    2. We will only deploy software that is compatible and licenced, so we will keep you informed if we find this not to be the case.

Email Addresses/Usernames

  • Will we still be able to login to our laptops and PCs using the same username and password (we're aware that sometimes we use our full email to login)?

    1. You will use your Microsoft 365 login details for your device, and access to 365. If you have been told these are changing then you will need to use your new details.
  • We use emails to login to a huge range of platforms, many internet based.  If our emails change will we have to change ALL of these (especially as resets to passwords go to our current email addresses)?  For example, DfE, National College, 

    1. No, your old email account will forward to your new one if it is changing. We do recommend you update your records.
    2. Not all migrations will result in new email addresses. Please ask if you are unsure.

Data Migrations

  • Will you migrate shared drives?

    1. Yes, we will migrate Shared drives to SharePoint, and apply relevant permissions.
  • Will you migrate all my documents

    1. We will migrate anything in your My Documents or N: drive to your OneDrive.
    2. Please ensure you have synced your laptop with the network before handing it to us. If you don’t normally sync your device you don’t need to complete this step.
