How to take a screenshot

Modified on Tue, 23 Jan at 4:46 PM

Sometimes to support you better, we may ask if you can take a screenshot to add to the ticket. You can quickly take a screenshot of any errors or issues you are having by either using the print screen button on your keyboard or alternatively using the snipping tool.

Keyboard Shortcut

On your keyboard, in the top right, press the 'Print Screen' button (Sometimes shortened to 'PrtScn').

Then you can then paste it in to your ticket responses, emails, documents or save the image separately.

Snipping Tool

To launch the tool, click start and type for Snipping tool

Click on the new button, and then you can highlight the area on screen you wish to capture.

Then you can then paste it in to your ticket responses, emails, documents or save the image separately.

Snipping Tool Keyboard Shortcut

To bring up the snipping tool quickly without going through menus press WINDOWS KEY + SHIFT + S.  This will allow you to quickly select part of the screen you wish to share.

Then you can then paste it in to your ticket responses, emails, documents or save the image separately.
