Printix Go - Create a PIN or register a card to release prints

This article is for the following schools, to add a printer on a system without Printix, follow this article

Down in the bottom right of your computer screen (where the sound and internet) controls are. You should be able to see a Printix icon. Right click this and select sign in if you have not already. On the options, there should be the option to open Printix in the web browser. When this opens and you have selected sign in with Microsoft the article below should guide you to generating a code.

You will need to create a PIN to print your documents, this is a one time setup for staff - please visit the relevant address below to access the portal described in these instructions. If you don't have a card, you will need to set up an ID code:

Sign in using the correct link below shown under the School/MAT/Trust name, choose sign in with Microsoft
Select Menu , and Cards and codes
Select Create to get a PIN code.
Enter PIN code (4-digits) and select Save.
- Select Reset and enter a new PIN code to replace the old one.
- Select Delete to delete PIN code.

Register card at printer

Present the card you want to register to the printer’s card reader.

As it is an unknown card, you will be presented with a 6-digit Card registration code (Example 348364).
- The code is valid for 1 hour.

Use the camera on your phone or tablet to scan the QR code shown on the printer’s touchscreen. You may be asked to sign in to Printix App. You can also register the card without a phone by writing down the 6-digit code so you can enter it in step 8.
Scanning the QR code will open Printix Appand register the card.
- With iOS/iPadOS 11 or later, you can use the camera app to scan the QR code.
- With Google App installed on your Android phone or tablet, you can activate Google Screen search to scan the QR code.
- If your QR Scanner App (not part of Printix) offers you to open the link in a browser, then choose this.

Select Close.

If you did not scan the QR code, then proceed on your computer, phone, or tablet as follows:

Open Printix App.
- Alternatively, visit printix.net and select Sign in.

Select Menu , and Cards and codes .
Select Register card.
Type the 6-digit code you obtained in step 3 and select Save. In the native Printix App for Android and iOS, you can also select Scan and then point the camera to the QR code.
