Arbor - Reset a password for a parent

Modified on Sat, 13 Apr at 5:59 PM

This article explains how a parent can reset their Arbor password or how the school office can reset the password for them. We would recommend the parent tries to reset the password themselves first.

Parents resetting their own password

If a parent can reset their own password, this is more secure as then the school can clearly say that they have not tried to mimic the parent in any way in an unlikely situation where this could arise.

  1. The parent can go to sign into Arbor by searching "sign into Arbor" via a standard search engine if on PC/laptop or the Arbor parent portal on iOS and Android phones. They can then select "Forgot your password?".
  2. They can then fill in the email which is registered against their account and request the password reset, where an email with further instructions will be sent.

In the event of no email arriving, the parent should check their junk email and if there is still no email the school should check the parent has a correct email in Arbor within the guardian profile.

Resetting a password for a parent as the school

  1. Search the profile of the guardian either through the student profile OR via the master search and open the profile.

   2. Scroll down the guardian profile until you reach "User Details". Click into the username. You will be given the following choices:

Reset Password - You can send the parent a password reset email. (They may need to check their junk mail.)

Change Password - You can select the password to send to the parent.
