NBHS - Installing a Printer

This article is for users at North Bromsgrove on how to install printers. Staff should now be printing to photocopiers using the shared queues. To release printing it is the same PIN that you were issued before.


1) Log into your computer.


2) Once the computer desktop loads, you will be met with a Papercut Deploy Client to sign into. 

Please select "Sign in with Microsoft". This will sign you in with your 365 school account. (If you do not sign into this, printers will not be added.)


3) This will now automatically install your hold and release print queues. For additional smaller printers, please visit the "Add Printers" option on the left side and select "Install". If the installation fails, you may not have permission to print to that specific printer.


For printing from SIMS (Additional steps)


Please use the Remote Desktop app, rather than the SIMS link on the "Staff Intranet" Sharepoint site. This will redirect your printers. These are marked with "redirected". 



Open SIMS and select the item you would like to print.



Find the file and select print within SIMS


You should then have options to select the NBHS-Mono or NBHS-Colour (this is a screenshot from Word but a separate window will appear.)


If printing is not appearing at the printer, please check that the Papercut client is running on your computer by going to the start menu and finding Papercut listed to start the client. Sign in with your school username and password.
