Alcester Academy - Installing your broadband certificate

You know how to use your own personal device, the purpose of this guide is to show you how to avoid getting certificate issues similar to:

The reason that this happens is because during the holidays the broadband provider has changed and so has the broadband filtering.


The way to get rid of these is to actually download 2 additional certificates to your personal device.

1.  Download the ca and Fortinet_CA_SSL from this page.

2. Click on the first file - this will launch a pop up asking you to install the cert:

Just click on the Install Certificate button.

3. Up will pop the Certificate Installation Wizard:

No something like this will appear instead:

You want to click on the Local Machine radio button (as indicated above) and Next button.

4. You'll want to accept the UAC (User Access Control) 

By pressing Yes button.

5. You'll next want to click on manually locate destination store - up will pop a list of stores, you should choose the one that says: Trusted Root Certification Authorities as below:

Click on OK and then click Next.

Finally up will pop a screen that says the cert has been successfully installed:

Click OK and re do steps 2-5 for the second certificate to complete the fix.
