Arbor - Recording a planned absence

Modified on Tue, 23 Apr at 10:45 AM

This article goes through recording a planned absence within Arbor. This can be done individually through a student profile or through the planned absence screen.

Through a student profile

Through a student profile, you can search for the student within the master search in the top left. Once on the profile, you can use the menu on the left to select Attendance -> Planned Absences & Notes.

Next, select the "Add" button.

Fill in the "Record Planned Absence" form with the start and end time as well as the mark you would like to show on the registers. You can add notes for the reason of the planned absence and any relevant notes which are useful.

You can set the absence to repeat which is important if the student is off every AM or PM since the start and end times include all registers inclusive of the date set there for individual AMs and PMs, use the daily repeat settings.

Through the planned absences screen

You can access the planned absences screen by going to Students -> Attendance -> Absentees -> Planned Absences

You can then fill in the same form as you would have on the student profile but it gives you the option to choose a student and view all students on this screen.
