Win 10/11 - I cannot log in

This article goes through a few steps if you cannot log in. Sometimes, you may be sure that you know your password and a reset may not be required.


1) Ensure your device has an internet connection. If your device has an icon such as the one below, your device is not connected to the internet and may be unable to log in.



2) When typing your password select the view password option to check you have entered it correctly. Hover your mouse to the right of the password box and you should be able to select the view password button.


3) You may be using an American (US) keyboard rather than a United Kingdom (UK) keyboard. To tell whether you are using a US or UK keyboard press the 'shift + @' key. If the '@' appears, then you are using a UK keyboard, if ' " ' appears, you are using a US keyboard.


4) You may need a password reset after checking the above.
