Post Migration -Data is missing

This article is relevant if you have completed a cloud migration project

If your data is missing after a migration - don't panic!

Migrations are a copy and paste solution, we do not delete any data stored on the server, in your emails or in your cloud storage (OneDrive or Google)

When migrating significant amounts of data, folders or files can be skipped for a wide array of reasons. Sometimes, empty folders are created with no data in - all of these are routine and often only represent a small proportion of data migrated.

Let us know what is missing, and where it should be

All we need to do, providing you ensured your data was within your Network Drives or Cloud storage prior to migration, is rerun your migration task. To do this we need to know:

  • Where the data was originally
  • What data is missing (example file/folder names)
  • Your username on your old system.

You can quickly provide us this information via a ticket on this helpdesk, and our team will keep you updated - please note - migrations are not instant, and may take some time in busy periods. We will monitor progress and keep you informed.
