Windows - How to update your device

Modified on Thu, 31 Jul at 11:10 AM

Sometimes, your device may require updates. It is important to download and install these so that your device has any potential issues fixed and keeps it secure.

1. Select the Start (Windows) button at the bottom of the screen.

2. Type "Check for Updates"

3. Select "Check for Updates" If there is an available update, it will begin downloading automatically.

6. Check your device for optional updates, select "Advanced Options" -> "Optional Updates" and tick all the optional updates that it allows you to. Then select install.

If you don't see an update, don't worry; your device is already up to date.

To finish the update, you'll need to restart Windows, but you can do this later if there's no urgency.
